Alicia Menda

Senior Technical Product Owner | Project Manager

About

Alicia is a senior technical product owner and project manager who owns major features and custom internal software from the first idea through deployment, support and handoff.

Her strength is requirements. She draws them out of stakeholders, writes them clearly, and breaks them into tasks that she assigns and tracks for development and technical teams in Azure DevOps. She also goes further than most product owners: she works directly in the database, writing queries to confirm that requirements were met and showing developers which fields and queries will meet them. She is equally at home with API integrations, defining how systems exchange data and checking that they do.

As a project manager, she spots risks and resource gaps early and works out what has to happen first, and in what order, for a launch to succeed. She keeps close oversight of the development team through release, and that planning has repeatedly caught problems that would otherwise have derailed a launch.

She has a sharp eye for UI and works with developers to shape clearer user journeys. Once a project is running smoothly, she hands it off to teammates and moves on to the next one.
